Do you know what a GIS is?

The GIS (or Geographic Information System) is a special software that combines aerial photography and important land data into one smooth and beautiful program. Noble County has a large investment in GIS technology so that you get many of our public records at your finger tips.

Our award winning GIS team, IT staff, and various county office representatives (including the Surveyors Office) is hosting a GIS training day on November 20th from 9am to 8pm at the Webber Road Annex Building. Come and go as you please, but don't miss one of our excellent training sessions.

Book Restoration Beginning

We have a number of documents that are 90 and 100 years old and older. They hold great historical value for the county and have some very practical use for land surveyors and engineers.

Cross Section Painting

Driving anywhere in Noble County you have probably noticed white "X" marks on the road. These are identifiers for "cross sections". Cross sections are recorded points that form a grid across the county. Each point is measured and recorded so public and private surveyors can measure distances accurately.
