Rome City Special Election News

The Rome City “special election” will be held February 19th, 2008 for precinct #13 only.  The voting location will be the Rome City Town Hall with the normal voting hours being 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Absentee voting will be conducted by mail, upon request of an application and in person at the Noble County Clerk’s office starting January 21st, 2008.  The last date to request an application by mail will be February 11th, 2008.  The days of voting absentee in person in the Noble County Clerk’s office will be Monday, January 21st, January 28th, February 4th and February 11th; Wednesday January 23rd, January 30th, February 6th and February 13th; Friday January 25th,  February 1st, February 8th and February 15th.  The hours will be 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (any walk-ins wishing to vote during the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm will be accepted).

Voter’s registration will be open through January 22nd, 2008 and will then be closed until March 4th.  Those people registering to vote for the first time on or before January 22nd will be allowed to vote in the “special election” February 19th, 2008.
