2007 Municipal Primary News

 

 

 

May 8th, 2007 is the Municipal  Primary Election.  Some voting locations have changed so that they could be in compliant with the federal mandate of HAVA (HELP AMERICA VOTE ACT).  Please note the changes.

 

Avilla, Kendallville and Ligonier are the only Noble County municipalities that will be having a primary election.  You must live “in town/city limits” to be able to vote in this election.

 

PhotoID will be required. A voter must provide government-issued photoID before casting a ballot. The ID must fit the following criteria:

           

            *ID must display your photoID.

            *Name on the ID must conform with your voter registration record. (conform does not

                        mean identical)

            *ID must contain an expiration date and either still be current or have expired sometime

                        After the date of the last General Election (November 7, 2006)

                        *including military IDs with expiration dates of  “INDEF”.

            *ID must be issued by the state of Indiana or the US government.

                        (Indiana drivers license, Indiana photoID or current passport)

Absentee voting:           April 9th thru May 4th, (Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm)

(in person)                    May 5th, Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm NOON

                                    May 7th, Monday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm NOON

 

Absentee voting:           Last date to receive absentee ballot application in the Clerk’s office by

(by mail)                       mail:  April 30th, 2007 12:00 am MIDNIGHT
